Dog Grooming Products And Information

Pet Care and Dog Grooming

Make sure that you take the time out to groom your dog. as it  is a basic need of your pet . It's amazing how many dog owners just plain forget that doggy hasn't had a bath and brush for weeks, if not months. Aside from the possibility your dog is not too happy carrying around the grime of weeks, it is a health risk to the canine and is something that should not be overlooked.

All you need to do is just get a basic regimen in place so that you have the consistency and get yourself kitted out with the best grooming products.

It is surprisingly inexpensive in relation to the value it gives your dog in looks and health and you will have great grooming tools and products that will last a long while. The savings on those dog parlor costs can be significant as well.

Driving with Pet on Your Lap - A Catastrophe Waiting To Occur

Certainly you've been in traffic or passed by a motor vehicle and observed the driver with a dog on their lap, or an unrestrained dog riding shotgun. Maybe you do that too. A number of people do, but somehow they do not realize the hazards involved.
Diversion is undoubtedly an obvious reason not to do it but you'll find, perhaps more chilling justifications, why this practice could not only kill the dog but you also.

In the case of a wreck, a pet could easily get crushed by the driver or the airbag and, failing that scenario, could become a deadly projectile. The calculation of trajectory force is actually - 1lb x 1mph. Ok, so lets take a good example. You have got a cute 11lb maltese. You're going to be travelling at 50mph and the dog distracts you for a second and, God forbid, you slam into an obstacle like a tree or other immovable object. At 50miles an hour, your unrestrained Maltese will catapult with a speed of 11lbs x 50mph = 550lbs of pressure! The destruction resulting with this kind of force is incomprehensible.

The statistics demonstrate that 30 000 accidents a years come from distracted drivers - a percentage of these a consequence of unrestrained pets in a car. A harness or a travel crate is important for your safety, your pets safety and also the safety of others. It truly just isn't worth the risk. Please do not do it!
